What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is an extremely effective way to find and correct imbalances in the body on several levels.  It is completely holistic in its assessment, taking as its startin gpoint that there are three interrelated elements reflected in the body:
  • Structure - your muscles, joints, bones and posture
  • Chemical - in the food you eat and in the environment
  • Emoition - your feelings, including trauma and stress
If there is an imbalance in one area, it will affect the other two and this has an impact on your overall energy and state of health.

Kinesiology finds the cause of the imbalance by testing the ability of various muscles to resist gentle pressure.

As every individual is unique and your body knows what is best for you, a kinesiologist can help you find what your body needs and in the order that it wants to be treated.

What is involved in a treatment?

The first treatment will include a detailed consultation and lasts approximately an hour and a half.  Subsequent treatments will last up to an hour.

A treatment consists of various techniques to restore balance to the affected parts of the body.  These may be in the form of:

  • Stimulating Acupuncture Points
  • Massaging Lymphatic Points
  • Bach Flower Remedies
  • Homeopathic Remedies
  • Nutritional Supplements (there will be an extra charge for these)
  • Exercises
  • Structural Realignment
  • Emotional Stress Release Techniques
  • Chakra and Aura Balancing
  • Food Testing and Dietary Advice

The feedback provided through muscle testing will indicate the exact treatment your body needs to restore balance and harmony.

What happens after a treatment?

Your Kinesiologist will help you devise a treatment plan.  This may include lifestyle changes such as diet, exercise, nutritional supplements and stress releasing techniques.

The number of sessions you require will depend on the nature of your complaint and how long you have had it.  In general, most people feel an improvement within three to six sessions.  Regular follow up sessions are then recommended to maintain optimum health.
